New 'Wolverine' Anime Clip Is The Best It Is At What It Does, And What It Does Is Speak Japanese

If you ever wondered what Wolverine would sound like speaking Japanese, here’s your chance to find out. G4 has released a three and a half minute clip of the “Wolverine” anime and it’s still in its original language.

Spinoff Online posted the clip, which G4 has released to give fans a taste of what they’ll get once it hits the station. You might not be able to understand all that Wolverine’s saying (he does say something pretty classic in English at the end, though), but this gives a feel of the style and animation. There’s plenty of fighting action on top of a skyscraper and Wolverine shows off his powers by attacking invisible people with his claws. The action continues while falling from that skyscraper and Wolverine makes it all look too easy.

In order to make this, Marvel teamed up with the highly respected Japanese company Madhouse Studios, the same people behind “Death Note” and many other popular anime shows. The 12-episode series is all about Logan on the trail of his missing girlfriend, Mariko Yashida. Her criminal father has taken her off to Tokyo and you just know Logan has to do something about it.

It will debut on G4 this summer, and “Heroes” star Milo Ventimiglia has already been hired to provide the voice of Wolverine in the English version.

What do you think of this clip of the “Wolverine” anime? Does it make you want to watch it on G4tv this July? Let us know in the comments section or on Twitter!
